About

Since I was little I always been fascinated with the stars and planets in the sky. My parents bought me a subscription to Sky and Telescope magazine where I would see images of the universe and read articles of upcoming events for that month. It was always a great feeling knowing that something was going to happen and actually seeing it with your own eyes. Some of my favorite celestial events growing up include seeing many lunar eclipses and 2 bright comets in the 90s.

Through the magazines that I read I discovered my first telescope a 8″ Meade Schmidt Cassegrain. I still remember observing the bands of Jupiter and Saturn’s ring for the first time. It was such a amazing experience that I wanted to share. Later on in my life I moved across the country to Arizona expanding my interest in astronomy. In 2020, I bought a Celestron NextStar 8SE with a planetary camera and have been taken my own pictures.

I have created this site for amateur astronomers like me who are interest in astronomy and astrophotography. Since I live in Mesa, Arizona this site will be directed for audiences who live in the this area. Every month this site will contain important information about the Arizona night sky. It will show what planets will be out, moon phases, and if there are any special events like an eclipse. I also have a page that contains my own photos. Hopefully this site will inspire other to take up this hobby.
